The E_017 is the first commercially available shoe design by Zulu Kuki, crafted in collaboration with Zellerfeld. The model debuted as part of Zellerfeld’s BETA sales platform launch on February 13, 2023.

The E_017 design showcases a bold and innovative aesthetic, featuring a massive block segmented with architectural symmetry and intricate wire-like details. This project represents Zulu Kuki's vision of the future, inspired by cultural icons such as Motoko Kusanagi and Dolores Abernathy, the brutalist photography of Paul Tulett, and minimalist automotive designs like the Tesla Truck and Hyundai N Vision 74. Each pair of 3D-printed shoes is custom-made, emphasizing individuality through its exoskeleton-inspired structure.

In 2023, the E_017 earned the prestigious “must have” award at the Łódź Design Festival, highlighting its innovative contribution to contemporary design. The project has also been featured in global publications like Hypebeast and Vogue. Furthermore, in 2024, it was spotlighted in the book UNDOXXED: The Finest in Digital Lifestyle Culture, celebrating its role in shaping the future of wearable technology and 3D-printed footwear.
